I just pick up a new motherboard, Biostar P4M900-M4 for my customer, since his system have been giving him trouble, and after a thorough diagnosed and troubleshooting, the culprit turn out to be a faulty Motherboard.
The Biostar P4M900-M4 motherboard can be categorized as a low end budget motherboard for consumer.
I just want to share the Biostar P4M900-M4 motherboard Award BIOS beep code, for future reference for those who want to keep this information during future troubleshooting or diagnosing system error, by referring to Award BIOS beep code.
Beep Sound
One long beep followed by two short beeps - Video card not found or video card memory bad
High low siren sound - CPU Overheated, System will shut down automatically
One short beep when system boot up - No error found during Power On Self Test (POST)
Long beeps every other second - No DRAM detected or install
Usually, the motherboard Award BIOS beep code is the same for motherboard that are using Award BIOS.

Award BIOS beep codes are pretty easy to come by. What does it mean when the mother board beeps every second after the machine has been up for a week?

Good Day
Just wanted to share my new experience.
If your Windows XP fails to run due to an error related to lost HAL.DLL, invalid Boot.ini or any other critical system boot files you can repair this by using the XP installation CD. Simply boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console. Then run “attrib -H -R -S” on the C:\Boot.ini file and remove it. Launch “Bootcfg /Rebuild” and then Fixboot
Cheers,
Carl
