It is official that the next Microsoft Operating System codename “Windows 7″ will be call Windows 7.

A post from Windows Vista Blog by Mike Nash has stated that they will call the next version of windows, currently codenamed Windows 7, as Windows 7. This is a first for Microsoft Operating System, as the all the previous version of Microsoft Windows Operating System final name are call not with their codename.
For example, the Operating System by Windows codename “Whistler” are named Windows XP, and “Longhorn” turn out to be Windows Vista.
Nash explain by referring the cause of Windows codename “Windows 7″ to be call Windows 7 due to the fact that this is the seventh release of Microsoft Windows Operating System. It seems that things could not got simpler than that.
