It is true then, Microsoft has been sending out letters to some selected group of Microsoft beta testers offering them a chance to participate in a technical preview of Internet Explorer 8 beta 1.
It is said that Internet Explorer 8 beta passed the Acid2 test (at last). I know a lot of web developer and designer will be glad to hear that the incoming Internet Explorer 8 passed the test. For the unattented, Acid2 is a test page, written to help browser vendors ensure proper support for web standards in their products. You can test if your browser pass the Acid2 test here.
Another source said that Internet Explorer 8 beta 1 will be made available to public soon. Whether this is a hoax, or this information is true, is unknown. I guess I am not the one who will looking forward to this release of Internet Explorer 8 beta 1, as I have not been using Internet Explorer since the release of Internet Explorer 7. I use Mozilla Firefox and Opera for my everyday work. And I know a lot of netters, who have totally drop Internet Explorer, some even go the extreme of not including Internet Explorer in their custom made Microsoft Windows XP CD. Be advised though, removing Internet Explorer from your Microsoft Windows XP might crippled certain software applications.
If this release of Internet Explorer 8 beta 1 can cure some illness of the previous version, I am willing to give it a try.. in my Virtual Machine perhaps.
